    Imaginary Advice
Each episode is a standalone tale with a wild premise. Some good starting episodes are a heist story where the crew are randoms pulled from Wikipedia and the worlds largest immersive theatre show based on Sex In The City.

    Paired
A comedy show about an AI whose desire to help is often at odds with the emotional state of the people they're talking to. A good episode to start with is Le Bébé Restaurant- Washroom Speaker.

    Radiolab
One of the best radiojournalism storytelling podcasts. It does an amazing job at telling big, complicated stories about science, history and more. Don't know where to start? Try War Of The Worlds.

    If You're Listening
This is a news program from ABC that gives a massive amount of context to each story. So before they talk about tariffs they travel back to the arrival of colour TV in Australia in the 1970s.

    History Lab
A history podcast about unusual corners of Australian history, from women in tarot to a will written on a tractor to indigenous fishing songs.

    A Life Well Wasted
One of the most remarkable and unique video game history podcasts ever made. It uses original music to elevate the storytelling, sometimes in surreal ways. Episode 8: Big Ideas is essential listening.

    Comics & Toons

    Dinosaur Comics
This irreverent comic uses the same format every day, but manages to play with the constraint to discuss philosophy, pop culture or whatever the author has on his mind.

    xkcd
A comedy comic about science, computers and graphs that no one asked for.

    Homestar Runner
Yes it's still up and yes they still occasionally make new cartoons. These days these use a mix of Ruffle and Youtube instead of Flash. If you're new watch a random sbemail.

    Web Design

    Neocities
Neocities is basically my platonic ideal of a webhost. No ads and you get 1GB of storage for free. And you're not trapped on the platform - they have a "download entire site" button" if you ever need to pick up and leave. You do need to learn some HTML, but that's what the next link is about.

    A Simple Guide To HTML
HTML is the easiest language to learn. Forget paying any of the big companies an ongoing fee forever - just build your own dang website and own it.

    What is Geek Events Australia?

We are a list of all Australian (and New Zealand) geeky events (having to do with pop culture, fantasy, sci fi, gaming, medieval/renaissance, and more!)
Really useful for those who like to attend these events, but also an essential resource for event organisers to make sure their events don't clash with anyone else's.
